    Is your CAC correctly inserted into the smart-card reader? Have you registered your CAC with AKO? If not, login to AKO with your username and password, click on My Account in the upper right corner and then click on CAC Registration in the toolbar. Have you recently gotten a new CAC? If so, you will need to register your CAC with AKO again.
